Segways, those unique two-wheeled, self balancing mobility devices are easy to ride, are made in two models, street, and off road. Off road Segways are what we use to take you on amazing trails in the San Francisco Bay Area, from the redwoods, to beaches, to urban areas.
Segway Off Road hours of operation are: 9 AM until 5 PM Tuesday through Saturday, Sundays 12 noon until 5 PM, and closed Mondays.
Each tour is a private tour, catering to your interests, ability, and the climate on the day you wish to enjoy your Segway Off Road tour. So the schedule of your tour depends upon you!
Since each tour is private, you are touring with only your family and friends, not strangers, so you can have more fun as you enjoy a more intimate and custom tour than most Segway tour companies provide. Segway Off Road maximizes the Segway adventure experience for each of our valued guests, making the tour truly special and memorable. Your photo album will love you too!

What is an off road Segway?
An off road Segway is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric machine built with wide, knobby tires, so it can handle dirt, gravel and fire roads where a regular street Segway would struggle. Some people call it an off road Segway scooter, but there is no pedaling and no gas engine.
What is it like to ride one?
You stand up, lean forward to go, lean back to slow down, and steer by tilting the handlebar. It feels odd for about ten minutes and then it feels natural.
Most first-timers are riding confidently by the end of the lesson. Then the fun starts: gliding past redwood trunks and stopping at a lookout over the bay.
